Miranda Paul is open to queries from illustrators and author-illustrators always—no referral needed for artists. For authors, I am open by referral or if you've seen me speak at a specific event (please name that event or referral source). I am open to queries for projects from or board book through young adult, fiction or nonfiction, and the select adult project (nonfiction prioritized with regard to adult books). I prioritize queries from any/all creators who identify with an underrepresented group/background/identity within children's literature through YA—also no referral needed. Illustrators should send a prepared dummy and a robust online portfolio geared to illustration of children's/teen books. **If you have accessibility needs and prefer to email your query directly to me ore request accommodations, you are welcome to do so. Please only query one Aevitas (ACM) agent at a time. If your project is being considered by another agent at the agency, it's a no from me. I unfortunately can no longer respond to all queries, though I try. If you haven't heard back in four months, feel free to nudge or consider it a pass.
