Submitted 7 December. Got reply 20 December...we like what we've read so far, what else have you got, we'll get back in 2 weeks. Haven't heard anything yet, and am keeping my fingers crossed. About a year ago, I'd tried them with a different book and got the same interim message followed by a kind personal rejection a few weeks later.

Jaccmorr, their website indicates they're fine with writers querying other folks, so maybe put this on the back burner and meanwhile, move forward with other queries. I haven't heard back yet myself. Maybe that's a good thing. Good luck.

Do Storm reply to you if it's a "no"? I subbed back on 29th November 2024 and haven't heard. My reply did say due to volume of submissions it would be four weeks rather than the usual two week response but we are way beyond that (even allowing for a one week closure over Christmas). I don't want to be seen as problematic by nudging but should I - in case mine has slipped through? If it's a no, I'd rather move on. I've lost hope of a positive outcome as I'm sure I would have heard sooner. Thoughts? Do I write it off?
