The literary agents keep telling me how good my sample is but they reject it for personal reasons anyway. Thank God for Don. He is the only one on the planet willing to actually look at my manuscript.
(Nudged at four months with no response. Going to begin searching for another publisher.) Found another publisher, smaller, newer, and willing to take simultaneous subs. Maybe they will be more responsive.
From what I gather, it’s just a really slow grind for their staff to get through their tasks.

So far, out of 37 total queries (not including non-QT parties), the only submission to be responded to with any kind of human touch. I made an error in my submission and the team responded quickly, asking for the correct file type before encouraging me with a personal message that I'd hear from them soon.
