Query 12/15
Rejection 12/16

Told me he appreciated the concept but that it was not strong enough for publishers.

YA Romance
Query: 12/02
Rejection: 12/03

Very thoughtful in his rejection, and gave a recommendation for another agent within the company.

"Sounds really good, but I currently have a teen romance
novel set in the South that I am shopping around. I really
don't want to take on a such a similar project right now."

- Submitted 1 PB manuscript on 27/09/2024. Stephen was very prompt in his review and reply and requested to see additional manuscripts the same day.
- Sent additional manuscripts on 16/10/2024
- Rejected on 21/10/2024

Through all these email interactions, he was very lovely and kind in his responses. Would recommend querying him, seems like he would be a wonderful and thoughtful agent!

Received thoughtful rejection 11.7.24 -

Thanks for sharing your story with me.

i can tell that you wrote this for the enjoyment
of your son. And the theme is good. I'm not
sure, though, that this is a strong enough story
to nterest a publisher. It needs a more rounded
story.

Just a word of advice: it's better not to send
a text with illustrations. Itt's an editor's job
to find the right illustrator for a picture book.
Sending art, in fact, hurts the changes of a
picture book being accepted.

I do thank you for contacting our agency.
And I send my good wishes.
