emailed 66k grief memoir - 1/26/25

On12/14/24 I reached out to Ariel to represent my memoir. On 1/18 received an offer of representation from another agent. In my query I did not disclose any information about the identity of my well-known father because I wanted my memoir to be selected by an agent without using a status of familiarity (my family identity is not disclosed until page nine of the memoir). I immediately contacted Ariel to inform her that I'd received a representation and that I accepted it. Two days later Ariel emailed me the following: Dear Renee, Thank you so much for the notification, and for thinking of me with your work. I'm not a good fit for this project, but I wish you the best with your writing. Sincerely, Arielle.
...FYI, I made it clear that there was an offer, a consideration, and an acceptance, and I did not include any information about my memoir in the email to Ariel; it only included the message that I'd found representation.
