Professor, Joe Veltre moved. That's why he didn't respond to your query. He's over at the Gersh agency.

4/22/13: On 1/16/13, I queried Joe, though closed. I sent a follow up last week and heard back this week. They only take referrals. Oh well.

Yet another member of the "I don't respect writers enough to even bother to respond" club. Closed here.

I wonder about the total lack of communication with some agents. I assume that when they've made it big time...?...they, of course, become more selective. But if they're selective to the point of being rude, I assume they're making it clear that they're not to be approached by commoners.

I sent a query in January, but on that particular agent I listed him as a "low priority" so I don't bother worrying about him.

I closed mine out, too. That Gersh agency's language is unpleasant, indeed. One step short of returning your unsolicited submission by armed guard and beating you about the head with the pages.
