I’ve been with Mitchell for a year and a half. Everything was going smoothly until six months ago when he abruptly stopped communicating with me. It was peculiar because he used to respond to my emails almost immediately, or at the very least, within the same day. Suddenly, all communication ceased about six months ago. I reluctantly decided that I had no other choice but to send him a final email, effectively ending our professional relationship. To my surprise, he responded almost immediately again, apologizing for the months-long silence and blaming it on Outlook. I shrugged it off. He asked me not to leave and reiterated his desire to sell my book. Another shrug. All of this is to say that having an agent in hand is better than two in the bush. Finding Mitchell was a lengthy process, and my book is a challenging one to sell. I still believe he’s courageous for taking it on. I’m glad we’re communicating again. I sincerely hope he can successfully sell my book this time around. People, including agents, deserve a second chance. I’m fully on board with this do-over.

I’ve read all the comments below about sporadic responses/ghosting, but that wasn’t my experience. He’s responded to all of my emails, most same day—especially after offering rep.

This agent seems to have a very high full request rate. Wonder if it’s set up automatically somehow?
