10/24/2024 Submitted query.
I had no clue how to submit one, my short story (~41000 words), though I think it has potential, I understand it needs a lot of work.
Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to edit it, in fact and at this stage, it's more of a draft.
The reason I am giving it a shot in here was due to reading online that agents might accept a draft of a story if it was worth it as publisher would do the editorial work.
Hopefully, mine would be considered worthy, but am not raising my hopes as I open this site almost daily expected to read a nice rejection.
I just hope the agents would give it a chance.

Thank you for reaching out. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to review your query. While I do see all the merits of this book, I'm afraid I just don't have the editorial vision I'd need to feel confident in my abilities to place this project in the market, so I'll need to stand aside on this one. Please know that these things are very subjective. I hope you'll continue writing and stay in touch. Thank you, again, for considering me and I very much hope you find an enthusiastic publishing partner in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Lauren
