I don't remember when I sent the query to her but got this form today. I really don't understand what all this word salad is for. "I'm declaring query amnesty..." REALLY? Overdramatic much? *eye roll* Just say "I'm closed to queries and not accepting manuscripts at this time" and keep it moving. This just sounds weird and ridiculous.

Thank you for sending me the manuscript for ______, and I thank you for your patience. When I first opened my query manager, I was unprepared for the number of submissions I would receive, and it's been impossible to keep up with and do justice to the many wonderful queries that have come my way. I'm declaring query amnesty and invite you to resubmit. I will be moving forward with the intention to clear my query inbox each week.
