Also noting PB submission June 19 and no response yet, so we're in a similar position bluelinnet! She seems to respond to almost everyone so nice to know you're waiting as well. I'm hoping we hear by 12 weeks.

Updating still no response after 14 weeks, assuming CNR at this point.

Yes, to hear by 12 weeks would be good. Good luck, MiltonJo!

QM: June 18

QM stats show approx. 1 mth for responses. As she is closed to queries, it may be that she is overloaded and responses will take longer. I guess I won't close out just yet.

In less than 8 hours I received a nice rejection from Kaitlyn Sanchez. Then I started to wonder how could she have read my 3 manuscripts so quickly? Then I looked and found replies similarly written to the one I received. Which made me think was it an automated reply?
(Check out the comment below from: QM 6/6/23 form rej 7/15/23 90k ya fantasy)
Considering the sheer number of submissions this agent must be receiving and with the speed with which a rejection was sent, how could any thoughtful evaluation of 3 manuscripts have taken place in that time? Especially ones that others have found highly promising. Is this person using some type of filtering software? This is the one explanation for receiving a standard reply within hours of submission that matches word-for-word other author rejections or nearly so.
Is this ethical? It’s misleading not to clearly state how submissions will be reviewed.
All this said, Maybe Kaitlyn Sanchez sorts through the voluminous submissions by reading the pitches and makes her choices that way. And that’s fine. I understand this. But, if so, that should be left for pitch parties.
