Rejection @ 102 days. In this case it was worth the wait. I've had two FULL manuscript requests that were both rejected with forms. This is my first actual feedback received. The fact that she took the time to actually tell me WHY she rejected is priceless. This agent is a gem.

"Thank you for the opportunity to consider your project, [] After digging in, I'm afraid that I have some concerns about the size of the market for a project like this. Ultimately, I worry that the audience here is too niche for me to break your book out in a big way. For these reasons, I'll have to step aside, but I wish you the best of luck finding the right partner for your work"

I had high hopes for this query and agent, but the personalized rejection does make me feel better about the querying process right now, and because it's insightful, I thought I would share:

"Thank you so much for thinking of me for your project, [Title Redacted]. While your premise is interesting, I'm finding the Historical market to be waning somewhat. Lacking confidence in finding editor and publisher interest at this moment, I'm afraid I'll have to step aside on this project. I wish you the best of luck in your search for the right partner for your work."

Already commented below, she's not a fantasy person. On her MSWL, she says "Magical realism (not fantasy)" and "I am NOT the right agent for:...fantasy and it’s subgenres"
